Who am I?

I was born in Noumea, New Caledonia, on the 5th of june 1954. I travelled a lot in Europe as well as in the States, but I principally lived in the South Pacific and I have been living for numerous years now with my companion and my son. I have a Cambridge University degree in English, which I used to teach for a few years in a language lab and also at college and high school. I am also a writer and you can find my books while typing "Sonia de Braco" in Google.

I was always fascinated by occult sciences, and I started studying palmistry at the age of 22, that is two years before my son's birth, with an old lady who was a member of the Cheirological Society of London. I studied with her for five years, following her indications and above all studying Count Louis Hamon, a.k.a Cheiro , books, an extraordinary master whose stupefying and precise method was never equalled so far. I later regularly practised, but it happens again to me sometimes, and even now after a thirty two years of experience, to read his books with admiration. I of course read numerous other books, but so far I never saw anything that could be compared. In December 2007, I was named "Grand Maître", in palmistry, my field of activity,a diploma I was given by the Academy of Occult Sciences (www.aso.online.fr).

A palmistry specialist uses the same methods as a forensic expert: he takes notes of indications, here under the form of lines, signs and diverse conformations, classifies them and realises an intepretation according to what was proved from time immemorial. Palmistry is a very old and also very precise science, which existence can be found before Christ, especially among the Yoshis in India who were great masters of it. Then this science expanded in Europe, Antic Greece,and in Rome, one can also find trace of it in Alexander the Great times, as Anaxagoras (or Pythagore) offered him a book on the subject. Julius Caesar himself knew about palmistry and used it in order to know about men who surrounded him. But the Christian Church was jealous of the power of palmist of the Old Times and declared it was just a superstition used by Bohemians and crooks of all sorts. However, as soon as in the Middle Ages appeared authors whose works gave its credibility back to this science. Now one can find numerous excellent books on the subject, I myself turned into French Cheiro's (to whom I pay my respects on www.solstice.com) Book of Fate and Fortune, and I wrote two students notebooks on Palmistry.

I am conscious I started something very difficult with this website dedicated to palmistry, so great is the public ignorance of the subject. Absolutely nothing is done to rehabilitate palmistry, on the contrary you can find numerous people and websites who employ this word in spite without knowing its significance, and would be quite unable to use or teach it correctly.
Look carefully: in the bookshops as well as on the net, you will be able to find a lot of ordinary books about the general subject of palmistry but no consultations as those I realise, and that for a very simple reason: it is very difficult to do. It's a challenge I launched to myself, relying on my years of experience in the matter. Because there exist no "standard" in the field of palmistry, you can't expect making copies or chain work as it is often the case with ordinary "horoscopes". I myself tried one of these a little time ago, and here is what I got: I was entering an extraordinary period of chance, I was going to win soon a great amount of money, I was event told how much and when exactly. I was at the same time supposed to make an extraordinry encounter as the Charming prince was going to stop his coach in front of my place. When one thinks I am 54 and my companion 68 at the very moment I am writing this, one must no be surprised that we really laughed at those "predictions". With palmistry, it is just impossible to release this sort of standard stupidities. I can find myself in front of a person who is essentially practical or another one with a great imagination, another very ambitious one, and consequently each person will provoke the corresponding events in her life. There are examples to the infinite. Recently were "discovered" in the middle of the brains a group of cells that seem to vibrate with events connected with premonition and the future. Our brain is something incredible that we are far from knowing about all its possibilities and confirmed palmist know very well that the lines and signs we have inside our hands are created by its vibrations, that come through nerves inside our arms and then create marks inside our palms. This science is anyway so ancient that we can find traces of it in the prehistoric times, but as I signalled before, it was discredited by the Christian Church action. But this takes nothing out of its value. There exist still numerous and very valuable things from the past; as far as I am concerned if I would be glad if I could live in a stone instead of a concrete house; if I could wear old style instead of modern style jewellery, as some old pieces of jewellery are simply magnificent,there are so many things of the past that are wonderful, statues, castles, masterpieces. But modern life wants us to go faster and faster for more and more profit which is the main reason and not the best one. Modern life brought a lot of progress in many fields like medecine for instance but it also presents a lot of inconveniences. Palmistry is among those forgotten things of the past that we do not use any more except on exceptionnal occasions, but it keeps all its value. A good palmist doensn't need any ADN analysis to recognise a criminal, a mentally ill person or a crook: he is able to do that only with reading his palms, and he will make no mistake.he wil be able to see what happened to this person in the past, what is her life at the moment and what her future is going to be. But here to one has to deal with acquired people's beliefs and it can be rather tiring. Many people imagine that the palmist has a "power" over their life from the very moment they are told one or two specific exact things about their lives:since we know about everything, all they have to do is to wait for our magic powers to transform their lives without them having the smallest effort to do. This is so stupid, I am sorry to say, that I often had to control myself in order to keep calm and remain courteous in front of people like that. With their mouth wide open they woul say "Oh, you are really a gifted person, you are very good as a fortune teller" and I was often on the verge of answering "Me? What do you mean? I "see" absolutely nothing!" In fact I often answer that I only read and interprete what I actually see and that's all, but many people seem to have enormous dificulties understanding that. It is very, very difficult to understand that palmitry is a real science that one can study in books, like any other matter, and that one need numerous years of study and practice to become an expert in the field. When this is over, one can say that one "guesses", yes, but in the same way a doctor "knows" what his patient suffers from, because he spent years and years studying to be able to diagnose an illness and he is now able to "guess" even before has the analysis results. It is the same with Palmistry. This is what a wanted to try and demonstrate with this site. Everybody should be able to read his own palms, it is extremely useful you can be sure of it. A simple question: do you really know who you are? Not sure, isn'tit? Here is the use of palmistry, among numerous other things.
